The Mid North Coast Local Health District continues to urge the community to get vaccinated against COVID-19, with 16 cases reported to 8pm yesterday.

Fifteen are from the Kempsey Local Government Area (LGA) and one is from the Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA.

Twelve of the cases are linked to a known case or cluster, which includes seven from the same household, and the source of the infection of four cases is under investigation.

The North Coast Public Health Unit is currently investigating the latest cases and contact tracing is underway, including any potential exposure venues of public concern.
