Celebrating 100 Years

It was the first home game for the Wingham Tigers in 2021, and a massive crowd turned up to the Wingham Sporting complex to mark the 100th anniversary of the Wingham Rugby League Club in the local derby against Taree City.
Early in the game, Jarrad Gibson got an inside ball from captain coach Mick Sullivan to run away and score. Nick Beacham added the extra points.
Minutes later, it was almost a replay, and the Tigers led 12-0 inside ten minutes.
Taree City got on the scoreboard soon after with a try from dummy half in the corner, which was converted.
With a quarter of an hour remaining in the first half, a long ball from Mick Sullivan to the winger saw a… More
